Pivotal formerly Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services of St. Joseph County is Hiring a Support Staff (Centreville Office) Near Centreville, MI

To provide total clerical support to customers, staff, visitors, etc. following state and agency guidelines. Improve community relations by assisting in a friendly, caring, nonjudgmental manner, with prompt, courteous service. Enhances the success of the agency by acting as a positive member of the support staff team.

Specific Job Functions:

· Working with all types of customers in a medical setting; including different religious, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds

· Answer and direct all phone calls – within three rings. Distribute voicemail messages daily.

· Greet all the people entering the building, ensuring they are checked or signed in.

· Schedule and reschedule clients within state mandated time frames.

· Verifies and updates customer information at each visit, or as needed (i.e., address, phone number, insurance, etc. in Joe-E/HER.

· Collect any fees from client, recording in receipt book, giving original receipt to client.

· Accurately complete intake workflow and annual documents in Joe-E/HER.

· Scan all documents in Joe-E/EHR

· Experience within managed care and other various insurance benefits.

· Release and request records for the agency, following all Mental Health and Substance Abuse guidelines.

· Ability to differentiate between urgent and routine matters.

· Knowledge of community resources.

· Familiar with multi-line phone system

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.41 - $22.48 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
